Ingredients
  • 3 medium ripe bananas, peeled and diced small
  • 1 package (8oz) fat free cream cheese, softened
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups of canola oil
  • 1 package, wonton wrappers

Directions
  1. Combine cream cheese, vanilla extract, and sugar in a small mixing bowl.
  2. Lay 1 wonton wrapper on a flat surface and place about 1 teaspoon of diced bananas and 1 tsp of cream cheese mixture on one side of each wrapper.
  3. Roll it away from you tucking the sides. Seal edges with water using a pastry brush.
  4. Place finished turon on a flat plate or baking sheet dusted with flour. This will prevent the "turon" from sticking with each other and drying out.
  5. Heat oil in a medium frying pan to about 325 F.
  6. Fry "turon" in batches for about 30 to 45 seconds each.
  7. Place fried turon in a colander lined with paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. Repeat the process until all turons are fried.
  9. Garnish with black and white sesame seeds and dust it with powdered sugar. Serve hot
