How to make it

  • Wash clams and put in basin with water. Pour salt over it. When partly open, they would have spat the excess sand in their bellies. Wash and boil for 5 minutes. Let cool, take out from shells and set aside. An easier way would be to get shelled clams off the freezer section of the supermarket.
  • Over medium heat, saute garlic, onions and parsley in olive oil. Add clams, wine and chicken broth. Simmer. Add cream, basil, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Top with prepared sauce and parmesan cheese.
