An easy way to make homemade cookies for the holidays or any day!

Ingredients
  • 4-1 cookie mix:
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup shortening
  • ***Cookie Recipes***
  • ***Chocolate Chip Cookies:***
  • 2 1/2 cups mix
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chips
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • ***Spice Cookies:***
  • 2 1/2 cups mix
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon or allspice
  • ***Peanut Butter Cookies:***
  • 2 cups mix
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ***Banana Cookies:***
  • 2 1/2 cups mix
  • 1/2 cup mashed banana
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
  • 4-1 cookie mix:
  • Mix ingredients until crumbly. Store in air tight container.
  • To make cookies: Preheat oven to 375F. Combine cookie ingredients. Drop onto baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes or until done.
