this pear berry crisp combines flavours and textures and makes an awesome dessert hot or cold

Ingredients
  • 3 lg pears, peeled cored and sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 c fresh or frozen berries of your choice (i like to use strawberries)
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 c quick rolled oats
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 1/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp canola oil

Directions
  1. lay sliced pears in baking dish
  2. pour lemon juice over pears and mix
  3. scatter berries over pears
  4. stir together sugar and cornstarch
  5. sprinkle over fruit
  6. mix quick rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, melted butter, and canola oil
  7. sprinkle evenly over fruit
  8. bake 30-35 mins (until fruit is bubbling and top is browned)
