How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Mix flours, baking soda, salt and bran together
  • Mix buttermilk, sugar, applesauce, egg, vanilla, canola oil and vanilla
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mix just so moist - do not over mix -
  • Fold in cherries and walnuts
  • Spray a 12-muffin tin
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes
  • Try not to eat all at once!
