How to make it

  • In a 2 quart saucepan, melt margarine over low heat
  • Add carrots, onion, and celery; cover and cook over low heat until vegetables are tender - about 10 min
  • Remove from heat and stir in flour
  • Add broth and mix well
  • Cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly
  • Stir in milk and cheese; continue cooking over medium heat until cheese is mleted and soup is heated through, DO NOT BOIL
  • Serve hot
