i wanted to make a turkey vegetable soup, but didn't have time to spend in the kitchen, so decided to try it in the crock pot. it turned out so good i will make it like this from now on.

Ingredients
  • turkey breast on the rib
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 cans vegetable broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 ribs celery, diced
  • 2 carrots,diced
  • 1 onion,diced
  • 1 can kidney beans,drained and rinsed
  • 5 mushrooms,diced
  • 1/2 tsp.garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

Directions
  1. season turkey breast with garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. place in crock pot with 1 can broth and 1 cup water.
  3. cook for 8 hours on low setting.
  4. remove turkey from crock pot.
  5. add vegetables, seasonings and remaining broth and water.
  6. dice turkey meat, add back to crock pot. ( i only used half for soup and the other half for sandwiches the next day)
  7. cook another 8 hours on low setting.
