Healthy wholemeal banana date scones

- 2 cups wholemeal plain flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp bicarb soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp mixed spice shopping list
- 1 cup dried dates, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind shopping list
- 1 small ripe banana, mashed shopping list
- 3/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1 tsp lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 250 C
- Combine dry ingridents in a large bowl.
- Mix in dates and lemon rind.
- In a small bowl, combine the banana, milk and lemon juice, then add to the flour mixture.
- Mix together and knead lightly. Roll it out and cut into whatever shapes you want and place on a lightly floured baking tray.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Best eaten warm, straight from the oven.
