Creamed Chicken And Biscuits Recipe
This is a very easy meal to make. If you have leftover chicken or canned chicken ,you can make this up in minutes.

Ingredients
  • Biscuits:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • Creamed Chicken:
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 cups milk or chicken broth
  • 2 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • When I make this I use 1-cup milk and 1 cup chicken broth..

Directions
  1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; add milk and oil.
  2. Stir until the dough forms a ball.
  3. Knead in the bowl 10 times or until smooth.
  4. Roll or pat dough into a 6-in. square about 1-in. thickness.
  5. Cut into 6 rectangles.
  6. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown,
  8. Meanwhile, in a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.
  9. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.
  10. Gradually add milk; bring to a boil.
  11. Reduce heat; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
  12. Stir in chicken; heat through.
  13. Split biscuits; top with the creamed chicken.
