Ingredients
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1 cup mexican plums sliced in half and pitted or any other edible wild fruit (warning though on blackberry-you get mouthfulls of seeds) or fruit in season such as 2 ripe peaches
  • 1 cup inexpensive vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup Naleczowianka, which is only a big polish word for soda water
  • opt. ground flax seed
  • opt. mint flavored syrup

Directions
  1. The basic smoothie recipe is as follows:
  2. place ice cubes in blender and using the ice chopper mode push the button several times(pulse) or you may be able to turn it on and off manually. (or buy yourself one of those nice retro style plastic and metal manual grinders, which i also use for iced coffee. more on that later.)
  3. in this order place into blender over the ice- the sliced fruit, vanilla ice cream(sometimes low-fat yoghurt) and soda water
  4. blend slowly at first then at high speed adding soda water(sometimes milk) as needed for proper consistancy.
  5. if desired add ground flax or mint flavored sryup.
  6. smacznego!
