Simply Spaghetti and Meatballs

- 1lb hamburger shopping list
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs or crushed-up Italian croutons shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 box spaghetti shopping list
- 1 large jar of spaghetti sauce (I use Ragu original) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Put the hamburger meat on a large plate and fashion a bowl in the center
- Put the bread crumbs in the bowl and then put the egg on top of the bread crumbs
- Kneed together the meat, crumbs and egg until they are well mixed
- Fashion the meatballs into balls a bit larger than a golf ball and put them into a greased pan
- Bake for about 30 minutes
- When done, prepare spaghetti according to instructions
- Add meatballs and spaghetti sauce to a medium saucepan and heat over medium low
- Add meatballs and sauce to cooked and drained spaghetti
- I use Italian croutons and put them in a small grinder. It works great to turn them into the right-sized crumbs
- I serve this with garlic bread - melt some butter, mix in garlic powder and brush onto bread, put into a toaster oven (or a regular oven) for about five minutes.
- My family loved this simple recipe - they used to prefer pizza on spaghetti nights
