Ingredients

1lb hamburger

1 cup Italian bread crumbs or crushed-up Italian croutons

1 egg

1 box spaghetti

1 large jar of spaghetti sauce (I use Ragu original)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350

Put the hamburger meat on a large plate and fashion a bowl in the center

Put the bread crumbs in the bowl and then put the egg on top of the bread crumbs

Kneed together the meat, crumbs and egg until they are well mixed

Fashion the meatballs into balls a bit larger than a golf ball and put them into a greased pan

Bake for about 30 minutes

When done, prepare spaghetti according to instructions

Add meatballs and spaghetti sauce to a medium saucepan and heat over medium low

Add meatballs and sauce to cooked and drained spaghetti

I use Italian croutons and put them in a small grinder. It works great to turn them into the right-sized crumbs

I serve this with garlic bread - melt some butter, mix in garlic powder and brush onto bread, put into a toaster oven (or a regular oven) for about five minutes.

My family loved this simple recipe - they used to prefer pizza on spaghetti nights
