- Pastry for one 9" pie crust shopping list
- 4 ounces (2/3 cup) semisweet chocolate chips shopping list
- ¼ cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 2/3 cup granulate sugar shopping list
- ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed measure shopping list
- ½ cup milk shopping list
- ¼ cup light corn syrup shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts, as a garnish shopping list
- roll out the pastry and line a 9" pie pan. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium saucepan over very low heat warm the chocolate chips and butter until both are just melted. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, corn syrup, vanilla, eggs and salt. Beat with an electric beater until well blended. Stir in 1 cup chopped walnuts. shopping list
- Pour into the prepared pie shell. Bake the pie at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until puffed. Serve warm or at room temperature topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and a sprinkle of chopped walnuts. shopping list
