How to make it

  • Heat oil in frying pan and toss in the mushrooms.
  • Place bread in toaster or under the grill and toast both sides lightly.
  • When bread is toasted spread with the butter.
  • After mushrooms are sauted and warmed through arrange on the slice of toast.
  • Sprinkle crumbled stilton chesse over the mushrooms.
  • place toast with mushrroms and stilton on a baking sheet and slide under a hot grill just long enough to melt the cheese.
  • ENJOY

    Mom had a French-Canadian aunt who would make this for her (less the cheese) for breakfast. She always called it 'French Breakfast', and Mom made it for us when we were little. I still love this to this day and will make it for breakfast once in awhile. Thanks for sharing! - Natalie

    Who would have known that mold could taste so good,I like stilton cheese very much.
