Hanoi Barbecued Pork

- 1 pound lean boneless pork thinly sliced shopping list
- 2 teaspoons honey shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic finely minced shopping list
- 1 teaspoon oil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch shopping list
- 2 scallions finely diced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce shopping list
- 12 bamboo skewers soaked in water for at least 10 minutes shopping list
- Crushed peanuts for garnish shopping list
- Fresh minced basil for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat grill or broiler.
- Marinate pork in honey, salt, pepper, garlic, oil, cornstarch, scallions and fish sauce.
- Set aside 15 minutes.
- Thread marinated pork onto skewers leaving 2” free at each end.
- Place pork skewers on grill turning and brushing occasionally with marinade.
- Strip barbecued pork from skewers then sprinkle crushed peanuts and basil over all.
- Serve atop hot rice.
