Potato Chops

- 1 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1 onion chopped finely shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste* shopping list
- 1 green chili* shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vinegar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 teaspoon chili powder* shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon all spice powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder shopping list
- 20 mint leaves chopped shopping list
- 1 bunch cilantro chopped shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- 5-6 potatoes boiled and mashed shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- breadcrumbs for coating shopping list
- * Can use more of these ingredients according to your taste shopping list
How to make it
- Fry the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Add the onions, ginger and garlic and fry until the onions are translucent. Now add the next 7 ingredients and stir until mixed well. Fry for 2 minutes until the water from the beef has almost dried up. Add the mint and cilantro leaves and the salt to taste mixing well. Keep aside.
- Divide the mashed potato into round balls of equal portions. Put some oil on the palm of your hand, take a ball of potato and make a well in the centre of it. Place some of the ground beef filling into it and fold over the potato to enclose it. Smooth the potato over making an oval shape. Dip into egg, then breadcrumbs and lightly fry in shallow oil until gloden brown. Serve hot..
- If you do not eat beef, you can substitute boiled eggs, cut in half, instead.
