Waldorf Astoria Shinori Style

- 1/2 cup Crisco shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 ounces red food coloring shopping list
- 1 cup buttermild shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vinegar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- ::ICING:: shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- Pinch of salt shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup Crisco shopping list
- 1/2 cube margarine shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- Shaved coconut ((optional)) shopping list
How to make it
- Cream crisco and sugar
- Add eggs, vanilla and salt
- Stir in buttermilk
- Sift together flour, cocoa, and salt and add to the batter
- Mix vinegar and baking soda together and fold into the batter
- Pour into three 9" greased and floured cake pans
- Bake at 300* for 30 minutes
- Remove from oven and let cool
- While cake is cooling, cook milk, salt and flour until it thickens. Set aside to cool
- Beat crisco, sugar, margarine, and vanilla until fluffy. Blend with the first mix when cool
- Spread between the layers, down the sides, and across the top
- Sprinkle coconut over the whole cake =OPTIONAL=
