Shami Kebab Recipe
This is a simple kebab recipe which u can prepare at your leisure, and enjoy any time u want; breakfast, brunch, tea time.

Ingredients
  • Mince beef 1kg
  • gram dal 3 quarters of a kg
  • salt 1tbsp
  • whole dried chillies 10
  • black cardamom 3-4
  • cinnamon stick 1-2
  • cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • black pepper whole 20 seeds
  • cloves 6
  • onion 1 large (roughly chopped)
  • garlic 8 cloves peeled
  • ginger 2inch piece
  • oil for shallow fry
  • onion 1 medium finely chopped
  • fresh coriander 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • eggs 2

Directions
  1. Wash and soak gram dal for 2 hours.
  2. put gram dal, mince beef and all the spices and onion, garlic, ginger in a large pot. add water to cover about 1 inch above the ingredients and put on medium heat for 45 minutes or until water evaporates.
  3. finely chop the cooked mixture in an electric chopper. add eggs, finely chopped onion and coriander. mix well.
  4. make into 2-inch round flat kebabs. at this point you can freeze the kebabs too.
  5. shallow fry until golden brown on both sides.
  6. enjoy!

Alterations


I have tried the mutton ones.. i will use this recipe.. Also if one sprinkle some sesame seeds while frying over the kebab..i think it should work well
