Beef With Tomatoes

- 2 tablespoons cooking oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic shopping list
- 1 small white onion cut into 1/2" squares shopping list
- 2 green onions cut into 1” pieces shopping list
- 3 small tomatoes peeled and cut into 1” cubes shopping list
- 2-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water shopping list
- Marinade: shopping list
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoons rice wine shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch shopping list
- 3/4 pound flank steak thinly sliced across the grain shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1/4 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 1/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl then add beef and stir to coat.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl.
- Place a wok over high heat until hot then add 1-1/2 tablespoons oil swirling to coat sides.
- Add beef and stir fry 2 minutes then remove meat from pan.
- Add remaining oil to wok swirling to coat sides.
- Add garlic, onion and green onions then stir fry 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and sauce then bring to a boil and return meat to wok.
- Add cornstarch solution and cook stirring until sauce boils and thickens.
