I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Tankersley Estate in Caddo Mills, Texas in 1988. Notation on card indicates this was Uncle Ben’s favorite candy. Ingredients

1/2 cup sifted flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla

1-1/2 ounces melted chocolate

2 cups walnuts

Directions

Sift the first 3 ingredients.

Mix butter and sugar until creamy then add egg and vanilla and mix well.

Mix in chocolate then flour mixture and fold in nuts.

Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet then bake 10 minutes at 350.
