Mushroom Meatball Stroganoff Recipe
This is my great Aunt Ludie's recipe and one that has been around as long as I can remember. She made this for me when I was little, one of our favorite recipes to eat together. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/8 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1-1/4 ounces mushroom soup packet
  • 4-1/2 ounce whole jarred mushrooms drained
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Hot cooked noodles

Directions
  1. Combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons soup mix well.
  2. Reserve remaining soup mix.
  3. Cover each whole mushroom with 1 tablespoon meat mixture carefully sealing all around.
  4. Place meatballs in jellyroll pan then bake uncovered at 375 for 25 minutes.
  5. Drain well on paper towels.
  6. Combine remaining soup mix, flour and water in a large saucepan then mix well.
  7. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until smooth and thickened then stir in sour cream.
  8. Add meatballs then cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thoroughly heated.
  9. Serve meatballs over hot cooked noodles.
