Stuffing with a twist

- 1 bag - Pepperidge Farms white stuffing croutons shopping list
- 2 cans - 15.25 ozs. - chicken broth shopping list
- 1 lbs. - favorite breakfast sausage shopping list
- 2 - 3 medium sized apples shopping list
- butter or margarine as bag recipe specifies shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground sage shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and core apples.
- Using a mandolin, slice apples thinly and cut slices into thirds. Set aside.
- Brown sausage pressing with spatula to crumble. Drain and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Prepare stuffing mix per instructions on bag, substituting chicken broth for water and adding sage.
- Add apples and sausage and place in an 8x8 pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake for 15 minutes to heat ingredients evenly.

Tried this yesterday and it was a hit - even thouse who usually don't eat stuffing went back for seconds - very nice - thanks for the recipe.
