Creamy Cheese and Bacon Vermicelli

Ingredients
  • 8 oz. (1/2 pkg.) Vermicelli
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, cubed
  • 3 tbsp. chopped parsley or 1 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 6 bacon slices, cooked crisply, crumbled
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions
  1. Cook Vermicelli according to package directions
  2. Drain, cover and set aside
  3. In small saucepan, saute green onions in margarine or butter
  4. Add milk, cream cheese, parsley and seasonings
  5. Cook, stirring constantly over low heat until smooth and cheese is melted
  6. Add cooked pasta to pan; toss with cream cheese mixture and bacon
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
