Milky Way Wonder Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 13 fun size Milky Way bars
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1-1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 2-1/2 cups cake flour
  • Icing:
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 7 ounces coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions
  1. In medium saucepan over low heat melt Milky Ways and 1 stick margarine.
  2. Stir until smooth then remove from heat and set aside while making batter.
  3. Cream 1 stick margarine and 2 cups white sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and beat then add buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda.
  5. Add flour gradually then add melted candy mix and beat until smooth.
  6. Pour into angel food cake pan then bake at 350 for 80 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly and remove from pan.
  8. Combine milk, sugar, yolks, margarine and vanilla in medium saucepan over medium.
  9. Cook 12 minutes stirring constantly then remove from stove and add coconut and nuts.
  10. Stir until thick enough to spread with a knife then frost the cake.
