Rib Eye Steaks With Amazing Glaze Recipe
This is one of my favorite all time steaks. We don't eat steak often because of budget constraints, but when my husband pulls out the grill and offers to make me a steak this is the go to recipe we always seem to lean on.

Ingredients
  • 4 rib eye steaks each 1/2” thick
  • Amazing Glaze:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 yellow onion chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 cups dry red wine
  • 1-1/2 cups ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried sage
  • 1/2 tablespoon Tabasco sauce

Directions
  1. Place steaks in a no reactive container.
  2. In saucepan combine oil and onion then place over medium low heat and cook 8 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds then add all the remaining ingredients.
  4. Bring to a low boil then cover and reduce heat to simmer and simmer 20 minutes.
  5. Remove top then turn heat to medium high and boil until only 2-1/2 cups remain.
  6. Transfer to a bowl and cool then pour half the glaze over meat then cover and refrigerate 2 hours.
  7. One hour prior to cooking remove beef and reserved glaze from refrigerator.
  8. Prepare a fire in a charcoal grill then brush cooking rack with oil and lay been in center of rack.
  9. Grill steaks 6 minutes per side and brush on some of the glaze that was used as marinade.
  10. Transfer steaks to a heated serving platter and serve at once accompanied by the reserved glaze.
