How to make it

  • Put the chicken into a stock pot (the best would be the enameled cast iron... but any big pot will do)
  • Mix together the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, vegeta and pepper.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken and stir.
  • Pour in the water and stir.
  • Cover pot and put over high heat until water is rapidly boiling.
  • Turn down to medium heat and simmer until chicken is done... about 30 minutes (it will fall apart easy when you pull it with a fork).
  • ENJOY!

    My step-mother was Mexican and her non-English speaking step-father used to make this delicious dish for us. It doesn't sound like it but it is surprisingly delicious.
