How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 390°F
  • put a layer of jam on the bottom of each tart shell then a layer of ground almonds
  • cream the butter and sugar together and beat in the egg and breadcrumbs, add the almond flavouring and the lemon juice
  • divide the mixture into 12 and spoon into the tart shells
  • bake on middle shelf for 20 minutes
  • allow to cool completely before icing
