Bakewell Tarts

- 1 pkg. 12 - frozen 3" tarts shells shopping list
- 2 oz butter shopping list
- 2 oz castor sugar (superfine sugar NON icing sugar) shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 oz. breadcrumbs shopping list
- 1 oz. self raising flour shopping list
- a little lemon juice shopping list
- 1/8 tsp almond flavouring shopping list
- raspberry jam shopping list
- a few ground almonds. shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 390°F
- put a layer of jam on the bottom of each tart shell then a layer of ground almonds
- cream the butter and sugar together and beat in the egg and breadcrumbs, add the almond flavouring and the lemon juice
- divide the mixture into 12 and spoon into the tart shells
- bake on middle shelf for 20 minutes
- allow to cool completely before icing
