stuffed flank steak

- 1 (1.5 LB) flank steak pounded shopping list
- 1 box uncle bens traditional sage stuffing shopping list
- 2 beef buillon cubes shopping list
- flour shopping list
- 2-3 tbs vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 cup chopped red onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup very finely chopped celery shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves chopped shopping list
- 2 cans of condensed tomato soup shopping list
- 1/2 tsp basil leaves shopping list
- parsley (garnish) shopping list
How to make it
- preheat oven to 350 F
- make stuffing as instructed on the box,but adding bullion cubes to the water.
- spread stuffing over flank steak, top with as much or as little of the celery as you would like leaving 1 inch around edges
- roll up, tucking in the ends, tie with string.
- coat with flour (i sometimes season flour with a bit of pepper and salt)
- in large skillet brown in oil.
- place in baking dish.
- in same skillet cook onion till tender.
- add soup,garlic,basil and any extra celery that wasn't used in the stuffing(i sometimes add a bit of celerly salt here) cook and stir till smooth
- pour over the flank steak.
- cover and bake approx. 1 hour.
- basting occasionally.
- garnish with fresh parsley.
