My Mothers Grits and Green Onion Bake Dated 1968

- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1/2 cup enriched white hominy quick grits shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1/3 cup sliced green onions shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon liquid red pepper sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 then grease a casserole dish.
- Bring water to boil in heavy saucepan then stir in grits and salt.
- Return to a boil and reduce heat then cook uncovered for 4 minutes.
- Stir in remaining ingredients and continue cooking over low heat until cheese is melted. Pour into prepared casserole then bake 30 minutes.
