How to make it

  • Combine half cup butter and cream cheese, beat on high for 30 seconds
  • Stir in flour
  • Let chill for about an hour
  • Shape dough into 24 balls
  • Press balls into ungreased muffin cups, for flatter tarts use regular sized muffin cups, for smaller but taller tarts, use mini muffin cups
  • Preheat oven to 325
  • Combine chocolate chips and 2 tbsp butter and heat on stove or in microwave until melted
  • Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla
  • Place 1 1/2 tsp of brownie mixture in each tartlet shell
  • Bake 20-25 minutes
  • Allow tartlets to cool, then top with chocolate butter frosting
  • If desired top with nuts, sprinkles, decorative candies etc
