Molasses Crinkle Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup molasses

1 egg

2 teaspoons baking soda

2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Melt shortening in saucepan then allow to cool and add sugar, molasses and egg.

Beat until well blended then sift dry ingredients and add to first mixture.

Mix well and chill dough in refrigerator.

Roll dough into 1” balls then roll in sugar.

Place on sprayed cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
