Ingredients

3 pounds Vidalia onions thinly sliced

1/2 cup butter

1 cup uncooked rice

2 cups water

1-1/2 cups Swiss cheese shredded

1-1/2 cups half and half

Directions

Preheat oven to 325.

Sauté onions in butter in large skillet for 10 minutes.

Boil rice in water for 5 minutes then drain well.

Place onions, rice, cheese and half and half in greased dish and bake uncovered 1 hour.

Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
