Savory Casserole Bread Recipe
This bread goes super with speghetti or soup or just about anything you can think of. I won grand prize at the count fair with this bread. it is a beautiful loaf.

Ingredients
  • 4 3/4 c flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp cold water
  • course salt

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 375
  2. grease a 2 quart casserole
  3. mix 2 cups flour,sugar,salt, spices and yeast. set aside
  4. heat milk , water and butter to 120 degrees
  5. add to flour mixture
  6. Let rise till double
  7. punch down and let rice again until doubled
  8. Whip egg white and water
  9. brush on top of loaf and sprinkle with course salt
  10. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
  11. Remove from casserole and cool on rack.
  12. ENJOY
