Spaghetti With Meat Sauce Dated 1951

- 1 large white onion chopped shopping list
- 1 green pepper chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 1 teaspoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic shopping list
- 14 ounces crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 6 ounces tomato paste shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried basil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1/2 cup dries red wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 8 ounces spaghetti shopping list
- 8 ounces lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cook spaghetti per directions on box then drain well.
- Brown ground beef breaking it up as it cooks then drain off fat.
- Sauté onion, peppers, mushrooms and garlic in olive oil until soft.
- Reduce heat and stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, hot pepper flakes, wine and water.
- Simmer until thick then stir in beef and heat through and serve over spaghetti with cheese.
