Southwest Ribs Dated 1972

- 1/2 cup white onion chopped shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground red chilies shopping list
- 6 juniper berries dried and crushed shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 ounce baking chocolate grated shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cider vinegar shopping list
- 6 ounces tomato paste shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sugar shopping list
- 3 pounds pork back ribs shopping list
- Cook and stir onion in oil in 2 quart saucepan for 2 minutes. shopping list
How to make it
- Stir in ground red chilies, juniper berries, garlic and salt.
- Cover and cook 5 minutes stirring occasionally then stir in chocolate until melted.
- Pour water, vinegar and tomato paste into blender container.
- Add onion mixture and sugar then cover and process until well blended.
- Heat oven to 375 then cut between pork back ribs to separate.
- Place in a single layer in roasting pan and pour sauce evenly over pork.
- Bake uncovered 30 minutes then turn pork and bake 30 minutes longer.
