Sausage Cabbage Bake

SAUSAGE CABBAGE BAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Daniels Estate in Canton, Texas in 1990.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil shopping list
- 3/4 cup onion sliced shopping list
- 1 cup red apples diced shopping list
- 3 cups green cabbage shredded shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 1 pound prepared pork sausage chopped shopping list
- 1 tablespoon creole seasoning shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375.
- In large skillet heat oil with onions and apples over medium heat then sweat 5 minutes.
- Fold in cabbage and toss well then add broth, sausages and Creole seasoning.
- Cook just until cabbage wilts then transfer mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake until hot and golden brown about 25 minutes.
