How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425 then sauté onion and bell pepper in butter until golden.
  • Turn off heat and add salt, pepper, tomatoes and hot dogs.
  • Pour into greased baking dish then spoon topping on top in evenly spaced dollops.
  • Bake 30 minutes.
  • To make topping sift flour, salt, baking powder and soda then stir in cornmeal.
  • Cut in shortening then add egg and milk.
