Baked Halibut Recipe
Very Nice Fish Dish, Simple and Good Tasting!

Ingredients
  • 4 pound halibut steak
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • ¼ cups. butter
  • ¼ pound sliced mushrooms
  • ½ cups sherry wine
  • salt and cracked pepper to to taste

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 450ºF.
  2. Place fish in a greased baking dish and sprinkle with salt.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, to make sauce, melt butter in a saute pan.
  5. Add mushrooms and simmer 10-15 minutes.
  6. Add the sour cream and simmer 15 more minutes.
  7. Do not allow to boil. Pour sauce over halbut in baking dish and add wine.
  8. Reduce heat to 375ºF and bake for 45 more minutes.
  9. For added flavor to your baked halibut recipe, shake flakes of butter over fillets when cooking completes.
