Festive Breakfast Casserole

- 8 ounces bulk pork sausage shopping list
- 12 slices white bread, cut into cubes (about 6 cups) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (6 ounces) shopping list
- 1 cup Pace Picante Sauce or chunky salsa shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 3/4 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- 1) Cook the sausage in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until the sausage is well browned, stirring frequently to break up meat. Pour off any fat. Remove the sausage with a slotted spoon and put it in a 12x8x2 inch shallow baking dish. Top with the bread and cheese.
- 2) Beat the Picante, eggs, and milk with a whisk or a fork in a medium bowl. Pour over the bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate for atleast 2 hours or overnight.
- 3) Uncover the dish. Bake at 350F. for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Makes 6 servings
