Ingredients
  • ½ cup of Butter
  • ¾ cup of Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of Butttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon of Cherry soda
  • ½ teaspoon of Salt
  • 2 cups of Sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
  • 10 oz Jar Maraschino cherries, chopped and drained

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
  2. Grease and flour a 9x5x3 inch tin
  3. In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar and eggs. Use a hand mixer to beat until creamy
  4. Add the soda, salt, flour, and buttermilk. Mix on a low speed until blended
  5. Fold in the vanilla essence, cherries, and nuts
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until cooked
