- 1 medium onion, finely diced shopping list
- 6 cups pinto beans, cooked (or use canned beans) shopping list
- 1 head lettuce, cored, washed, and shredded shopping list
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups prepared guacamole (optional) shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream (or salad dressing) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon oil shopping list
- 2 ounces taco seasoning mix shopping list
- 2 to 3 large tomatoes, diced shopping list
- 4 cups corn or tortilla chips shopping list
- 1 jar salsa shopping list
How to make it
- Suate diced onion in small amount of oil until clear.
- If using canned beans, drain half the liquid and set aside.
- Add beans to onions and heat, stir to prevent scorching.
- Mash beans slightly and add taco seasoning.
- Add bean liquid as needed to keep mixture soft.
- Place beans in bowl.
- Arrange ingredients in separate bowls on the table in the following order:
- corn chips, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, toppings
