- 6lamb shanks...cooking oil...1 101/2-oz.can condensed beef broth...1cup uncooked long grain rice...1 11-oz.can mandarin oranges sections shopping list
How to make it
- in skillet brown shanks on all sides in small amount of hot oil,season lamb with salt and pepper...add 1 cup water:cover and simmer for 11/2 hours..remove shanks: set aside..measure pan juices:skim off fat and add water to make 1cup liquid..return pan juices to skillet with btoth,uncooked rice,and 1/2tsp salt..return lamb to skillet:cover and simmer about 25min.longer or till rice is almost tender...stir n unfrained oranges:simmer 10min...garnish with parsley.
