Homemade Kahlua Recipe

Ingredients

1 pint vodka

1 cup water

4 tsp. instant coffee (regular not freeze-dried)

2 tsp. vanilla

1 cup sugar

Directions

Boil water and sugar for 15 minutes.

Add coffee and vanilla.

Remove from heat and let cool about 10 minutes until mostly cool.

Add vodka.

I put mine in a mason jar, but if you want it to look fancy use a fancy bottle.

Thanks for the recipe! I worked with a doctor over 30 years ago who used to make this and pour it into the old brown-colored, glass "cough syrup" bottles. He'd type up Rx labels on each bottle and give them out to all the employees for the holidays. He was a funny guy and your recipe is very much like his. Thank you for posting your recipe!
