SUPREME STYLE PIZZA This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Butler Estate in Irving, Texas in 1988.

Ingredients
  • 1 pizza shell (recipe below)
  • 5 ounces pizza sauce (recipe below)
  • 2 ounces provolone cheese shredded
  • 2 ounces pepperoni
  • 1 ounce Canadian bacon
  • 1 ounce hard salami diced
  • 2 ounces mozzarella shredded
  • 2 ounce black olives sliced
  • Pizza shell:
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil plus extra for pan
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2-1/4 cups warm water
  • Sauce:
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 15 ounce can tomato paste

Directions
  1. Mix pizza shell ingredients together and allow to rise 40 minutes.
  2. Divide dough into 3 parts and refrigerate 2 parts for future use.
  3. Spread remaining part in oiled pizza pan and dimple dough with fingers.
  4. To make sauce sauté onions, garlic and oregano in olive oil until onions are translucent.
  5. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and allow to cool before using.
  7. Spread 1 cup of sauce over shell then layer topping ingredients in order given.
  8. Bake at 450 for 15 minutes.
