Rock Candy Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1 cup corn syrup

1/2 cup of water

food coloring

flavoring of your choice

muffin tin liners

Directions

Add sugar, corn syrup, water and your food coloring (your choice of color) in a heavy saucepan ( I use a medium sized pressure cooker without the lid)

Stir all together over medium high heat until it starts to boil

Keep stirring and don't let it scorch

Test a spoon full of the mixture by adding it to a cup of cold water

When it forms a hard strand in the water it will be ready

At that time add your choice of flavoring to the candy

Then pour into lined muffin cups and wait for it to set
