How to make it

  • Cook mixed vegetables according to package directions.
  • Meanwhile, in small saucepan or skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon flour.
  • Add 1 cup milk; simmer, stirring constantly for 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sliced green onion and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  • Pour over cooked, drained mixed vegetables.
  • ***Makes about 1 1/4 cup sauce
