Two Cheese Ziti Recipe
An easy recipe from taste of home, its basically mac and cheese but "two-cheese ziti" sounds a little more special haha

Ingredients
  • 3 cups ziti
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 3/4 cups low fat milk
  • 3/4 cup cheddar reduced fat cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • TOPPING
  • 3 tbsp dried bread drumbs
  • 1 1/2 tsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup shredded reduced fat cheddar cheese
  • 3 tbsp grated parmesan

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cook ziti as directed
  3. Meanwhile, melt 1 tbsp butter in saucepan on stove
  4. Stir in flour, salt and pepper
  5. Add milk slowly
  6. Bring to a boil then cook 2 minutes constantly stirring to thicken
  7. Remove sauce from heat and stir in 3/4 cup cheedar and 2 tbsp parmesan until melted
  8. Drain pasta and mix with sauce
  9. Put pasta in 8X8 baking dish covered and bake 20 minutes
  10. Mix bread crumbs with melted butter, stir in cheeses
  11. Remove cover from pasta and top with bread crumb mixture.
  12. Bake 5 minutes longer
