Super-simple Hamburger Stew

- 1 pound hamburger beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- flour shopping list
- 2 -10.5 oz. cans Campbell's beef gravy shopping list
- 1-16 oz. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables shopping list
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Minced garlic shopping list
- OPTIONAL - 1 potato, diced about 1/4 " shopping list
- ............ OR - 1/3-1/2 cup elbow mac, pre-cooked shopping list
How to make it
- - Mash the hamburger into the bottom of a 2-1/2-quart sauce pan (3-quart if adding options).
- - Brown over medium heat until the top shows beginnings of browning around the edges, indicating the 1st side is browned.
- - Add the chopped onion and stir to break and turn the hamburger and move the onion into contact with the heat.
- - OPTIONALLY, fry the diced potatoes in a little light olive oil & butter,
- ................... OR pre-cook the pasta (pkg, instructions.
- - Continue to saute.
- - Add a little flour to absorb some of the hb greasew and continue to saute until flour is cooked.
- - Once all the hamburger is browned and the onions are at least translucent add the rest of the ingredients.
- - Add OPTIONAL ingreds.
- - Lower heat and simmer 20+ minutes.
- - Taste and adjust seasonings.
- I serve with plain ol' bread & butter sandwiches.
