Nut Topped Applesauce Bread

- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup applesauce shopping list
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 eggs at room temperature shopping list
- 3 tablespoons milk at room temperature shopping list
- 2 cups sifted flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 then grease a square baking pan.
- In large bowl thoroughly combine sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs and milk.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
- Add to applesauce mixture then stir until well combined.
- Stir in pecans then turn into prepared pan.
- Combine topping ingredients then sprinkle evenly over batter and bake 1 hour.
- Cover with foil after 30 minutes to avoid over browning.
- Remove from pan and cool.
