How to make it

  • Chop cabbage into bite size pieces.
  • Add water to a large pot. It will be a large amount of cabbage, but the cabbage will cook down. Add bacon, onion, vegetable oil, beef bouillon cubes, and salt/pepper. Bring to a boil and turn down to low – medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Till tender but still crisp.
