Walnut Rolled Strudel

- 4 cups flour shopping list
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup lukewarm water shopping list
- 2 eggs slightly beaten shopping list
- 2 cakes yeast regular or dry shopping list
- 1/2 cup soft butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- Walnut filling: shopping list
- 1 pound finely ground walnuts shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup boiled milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup melted butter shopping list
How to make it
- Crumble yeast in bowl then add water and sugar stirring until mixture liquefies.
- Blend flour and butter with wire pastry blender and mix well.
- Mix in eggs, salt and yeast then mix until dough is smooth and leaves side of bowl clean.
- Do not let rise then divide into four portions and roll each out in a rectangular shape.
- Spread with filling and roll up like jelly roll.
- Prick roll with toothpick on top and sides to keep roll from splitting while baking.
- Place in greased baking pans and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
- Mix filling in bowl using 3/4 cup boiled milk.
- If not at spreading consistency use remaining milk.
